NIMS Hospital , Neyyattinkara undertook repairs of the female ward, Kattakada Govt. Hospital as the miseries of patients was highlighted by Malayala Manorama (Daily). The work was started and repairs were completed in a time bound manner. Repairs of the electric connections in the male and female wards is also completed. So far the poor patients had been contributing and making a small fund to purchase bulbs and other equipments. The repaired ward was declared open by the District Joint Secretary of DYFI Sri. K.S. Mohanan, Faizal Khan Managing Director of NIMS, Vijayan Kartakkada Area Committee President, P. Monikandan Vice President, K. Rajan DYFI Local Committee President, G.S. Nair Administrative Officer NIMS and K. Jayachandran Nair Supervisor NIMS spoke on the occasion. All the bathrooms, beddings, fans etc. have been fully made working. Waste water management has been made effective. Plumbing and electrification works has also been completely renovated in all the wards of the hospital. Local people and the patients in the hospital expressed their joy and hoped that such organizations and hospitals like NIMS should be an example to all.
