Services offered:

• TURP
Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP) is a surgical procedure to deal with patients with an enlarged, benign (non cancerous) prostate, called Benign Prostate Hyperplasia or BPH.

• Infertility
NIMS offers a complete range of facilities for investigation of male infertility. Female infertility investigation by gynecologists with special training in infertility is also provided. A full fledged laboratory is well designed for the entire range of studies.

• URS (Uretero renoscopy) with Lithotripsy
In this surgery small scopes are passed through the urethra (from where one passes urine) and stones are removed after breaking into smaller pieces. Patients can be discharged within 24 to 48 hours after this surgery.

• Bladder Tumor
A bladder tumor is an excess growth of cells that line the inside of the bladder. A tumor may be either cancerous or non cancerous. NIMS has the facility to diagnose and treat bladder tumors.

• Prostate Disease (specialty clinic)
We have a specialty clinic within our hospital for the diagnosis and treatment of prostate diseases. The prostate is a sex gland in men. Men after the age of 50 years suffer from urinary problems like going to toilet frequently, poor control of urine or difficulty of passing urine, etc. It is because of enlargement of the prostate, which can be removed safely by endoscopic method.

• Pediatric Urology
Pediatric Urology involves the diagnosis and treatment of all urological problems encountered in children. A specialty clinic is facilitated for this purpose.

• Uroendoscopy
Uroendoscopy is one of the services offered in our hospital. It is a device consisting of a tube and optical system for observing the inside of a hollow organ or cavity. This observation may be done through a natural body opening or a small incision.

• Impotence
A problem of over 10% of adult population can be fully investigated and treated. NIMS provides specialized facilities for pharmacotherapy, cavernosometry and cavernosography, in addition to Doppler studies for assessment of blood flow.
